CYBEX International has recently won the contract to fully equip the brand new gym facilities at Coolhurst Lawn Tennis and Squash Club, one of the largest of its kind in North London.

The contract, which went to tender and saw CYBEX compete against a number of other fitness equipment suppliers, is part of a £750,000 facility redevelopment programme and was made possible by sports grants from both Nuthurst Proprietary Ltd and Sport England.

The requisitioning of the gym, which was led by John Hayward and personal trainer Johanna Green, resulted in an order of over £45,000 worth of the latest CYBEX equipment. The brand new fitness facilities at Coolhurst will include treadmills, Arc Trainers and cycles from CYBEX’s cardio range.

Various pieces of strength training kit have also been ordered, including both upper and lower body equipment from the Eagle strength and VR1/VR3 lines, a Bravo Functional Trainer and a plate loaded smith press, designed with adjustable start positions for perfect alignment and improved safety. All staff at Coolhurst received specialist training from the CYBEX team on how to fully utilise the new equipment.

John Hayward from the Coolhurst Club said: "Four established suppliers submitted tenders to our panel and we chose CYBEX because we all felt that the equipment was of very high quality whilst representing good value for money. We also think that CYBEX will be an excellent partner for Coolhurst as we expand the use of the gym beyond those just trying to keep fit."
